So...We just got back from Trek on Saturday night. We spent all day Sunday cleaning up and ran to church in the afternoon. To our surprise, the Stake wanted to speak with us. We thought maybe John was going to be called to be a seminary teacher or something like that. I just figured with the time of year that is what calling they would be filling. Needless to say, John was called as the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. Can you say...SHOCKED!!!! I supposed not shocked that he was called (John has always had a strong testimony and a willingness to serve) but shocked that we didn't expect it now. The Bishopric was just put together a month ago. All positions filled. Yes...we were SURPRISED!!! We even just had John's dad out last week. So the plan now is to fly his dad out once again for his ordination this weekend. I guess I tripped up when coming home from trek I said, "What's next? After all that work and preparation, what is next?" Well, I asked the question and now have the answer!
