Jacob was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in December. John asked a young man, Tyler Asay, to baptize Jacob and then John gave the confirmation. We were so blessed to have so much family in town. Grandma/Grandpa Lee, Grandpa Buckapoo (my dad), Grandma K and Grandpa Richard, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Tahna/Uncle Justin were the ones who were able to make the trip. Jacob had Uncle Jeremy give a talk about the Holy Ghost and was so inspired (my opinion) to include stories from his family because they weren't able to attend. Jacob was also fortunate to have his old Primary teacher, Sister Holly Jacobsen, come back from Utah and speak on baptism. She was his teacher for a couple of years and Jacob just loves her. Besides their last name being close to Jacob's name, they also share the same birthday! She talked about the importance that the scriptures have been in her life and challenged Jacob to turn to them. Morgan and I sang with Grandma K on the piano. Well, I sang...Morgan did the sign language to I Feel My Savior's Love. She was too embarrassed so she just did the signing. I am so proud of both of my kids! One of the neat things we noticed was when Jacob was in the font, there were so many people there to watch and witness this event. I was overwhelmed by how many people were there. I made a point to tell Jacob to look around and remember just how many people here love him. After wards, we came back to the house and had a couple of giant Chick-fil-a trays! (Jacob's idea!)
